The ribbon cutting ceremony for this trail was in September so it was past time and perfect weather to take a bike ride. The trail is 2.75-mile and will be accessible for hikers, walkers and bicyclists around Summit Lake. The trail links the eastern and western neighborhoods surrounding Summit Lake and connects to the 101-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
We started our ride at the Wilbeth Road Trailhead and started out towards Summit Lake. We rode past the Summit Lake Nature Center and entered the trail on the street side. We enjoyed seeing multiple benches along the trail -some facing the trail and others Summit Lake.
