Bicycling is a great way to reduce stress. Some of us enjoy riding on bicycle paths and others on the roads. If you are getting ready for your first ride of the year we recommend you be aware of some changes to your bicycle from your last ride. First, it is normal for tires to lose air when the bicycle has not been ridden. Re-inflate the tires slowly so as to not jump the tire off of the rim-about 10 PSI at a time. Second, when is the last time your brake pads were replaced? If you are an infrequent rider the pads may not be worn but the brake compound hardens over time and exposure to elements. If it has been several years- we recommend replace your brake pads.
